Mary Nelson, President and founder of Soterion, leads every project or provides the services directly. She has over 25 years experience in the management and development of programs and strategies to promote learning and behavior change and improve performance. Ms. Nelson holds a B.S. from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A. in healthcare management from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is the former Director of Clinical Communications at Merck-Medco Managed Care, LLC and Manager of Education Strategy at Diversified Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. In these leadership roles, she established organizational processes, managed complex projects, and led the creative development and packaging of internal and external clinical communications and training strategies to support the delivery of managed care products and services.
Ms. Nelson also served on the faculty at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where her responsibilities included public health program development, patient and community health education, and clinical skills training. She has extensive experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing professional education and job-specific training programs for physicians, pharmacists, dental professionals, and others in the healthcare industry. She has conducted research and published articles, led workshops and continuing education programs, and presented on adult learning and health education strategy development at professional conferences.
Soterion draws on an established network of associates with education, instructional design, communications, consulting, graphic design, and healthcare expertise to meet the needs of specialized projects. We have experience in managing major projects and our capacity is expandable to accommodate projects having multiple components under development simultaneously.
